Tampa Bay Busch Gardens

Busch Gardens is an African themed park located in Tampa, FL, i went there yesterday and was tired the whole day taking pictures of animals, rides, people and many more, it was fun and the animals were cooperative with my camera haha, the pics i have are my pics from my powershot, i did take some pics with a canon rebel xt, but i dont have the camera at the moment as for now, here are some pics! College Life, Life as a male nursing student..

ah college life has been very bad for me so far, anyway, im still hanging on, but i kinda felt that I was alone in college, until i talked to someone, i wont tell his name here for privacy concerns, anyway, being in college and being here for only 4 years so far isnt easy for a guy like me, i still feel like im still new to this country, i still cant understand how society works and and how people react socially. The i dont care mentality really puzzles me. Anyway, heres a brief history for you folks, I just graduated from High School in way back in 2003, i had a LIFE, a good one, and i loved every minute of it, until my parents would come and spoil it, it feels like what happens, they seem to take control of my life and really ruin, and this folks i lived a good life with good friends and i wasnt hooked on everything, being a child that ddnt grew up with a presence of a parent, i was ok with it, until my parents would decide to take me permanently to the United States without even letting me know. I was told 1 week before leaving to the US that I was gnna leave there permanently, thats where the horror began, i wasnt able to tell everyone just in time that im leaving for good to the US, i hope my parents read this blog and hope that they understand what im going through now, the US isnt a country that ill easily adjust to, and with my nice english accent, people wont notice that im a freshie to the customs of this country, its not easy to tell you guys esp ending up in a multicultural city such as Miami, at first i could speak to my seatmate because i was really a freshie, i hope that people understand me, that being a conservative i do have values that i need to hold on to, and I think that being more liberal will get me more friends, i say its not easy at all. The thing that i dont like about the United States is that they barely encourage free competition and they mostly have monopolies. And i got always stressed out parents who tends to pour their frustration on their children. Im still adjusting to this country and i feel like still a FOB, im a conservative who did well through life in the Philippines by being conservative and being liberal got me into trouble, and of all the liberal people who are successful, they will eventually run into problems in the future, they cant be perfect at all, everybody will be affected, regardless of youre background, as a popular chinese saying says, we all have a maximum point in life, once we reach that, we will go downhill after that, anyway, thats my story. Ah, college life, i barely made any friends at all, my parents tend to control me and keep me inside the house, so what else what i cant do, im just here online typing on my blog. I need to know the fact that im an adult now and cant be always around with my parents, and they need to know that too and let me loose a little into real life. As for any classmate that might be reading this right now, the Andrew u saw in college isnt the real Andrew, i tend to keep a fake face to hide my depression, and i seem to be pretty good at it, but its not good. Ive had some nice friends but not friends that i was close with, tbh, i never really had close friends while coming to this country, its gonna take a while before my social circle will open up, and im gnna try my luck this fall. Good thing a talked to someone, and somehow i felt relieved that I talked to him and i dont feel like im myself anymore, and seem to have a little boost of confidence and its working for me so far. So as for college, wish my guys good luck, i screwed up one class, and i want to change from that point on, i cant keep the same lifestyle that destroyed me, and hopefully my parents understand whts going on with me, its a complex emotion, depressed since i cant make any friends, the demons of the past, the anger i still feel for not being there for me and siding on her damn sister, i just hope she has more empathy towards her son and reconcile with him, that way my spirit would rest, but thats only 1 part, she should stop trying to contain me inside the house and have an open mind, and stop pouring her frustration on her children, because its not good for her, shell tell u, what can i do, i work and shit like that, so that means i got no choice but to suffer her verbal suppression?, she needs to let me go first and have an open mind, because then she kills my confidence and i dont want to do anything and escape her and run to the computer to escape the real life, i do admit, ive been escaping real life for sometime now and i need to stop it and have a glimpse into reality. She needs to understand whats going on with me, and for my classmates from college, im not a weird person, i need to adjust fully to society different from what im used to, and give me some time. As for being a male nursing student in school, its not easy for us males, since females tend to be the majority and males are always being discriminated esp my dreaded clinical professor, she needs to loosen up a bit. Anyway, this is my rant as for now. Comment if you want, but please have an open mind when doing so :D

N73 Sample Vid

Here i took a 2 min of my house in Miami, as you see, sound is pretty good made by the N73, but its very noisy, but you guys can see it only records in QCIF format, so its not surprising of such a phone, you guys can check out the Nokia N93 and N95, 6233, 6280 because they can record in VGA format. The settings starts out in my front porch and then into my living room etc, you can see the purple bluish effect in bad lighting condition, and heard the same reports from N73 users, last it ends in my bedroom, yes, its a little messy :p.

N73 Continued *Camera Aspect*

So Far the N73 has been performing well as a champ 1 week after I got the phone, i would say that ive gotten used to the joystick and have fully customized the UI, ive finally mastered the manual settings, and have been taking very good pics, though they have some color issues compared to the k800i, colors seem to be very unrealistic, but ill post them later one, so far here are some pics for you guys to enjoy.

Finally I got an N73

Finally after nearly a year the Nokia N73 came out, i got one. I say its a very compact phone, 3.2 megapixel phone with carl zeiss optics, i bought this phone mainly because its an N series series quadband candybar phone. So far its the only reigning in its class, and its been performing very well so far. heres my quick

Pros
-Quadband, Compact candybar size
-Edge
-3.2 MP camera
-Light sensor
-Great Build
-Symbian OS
-Easy learning curve in navigating throughout the UI
-Nice battery life
-FM Radio, is a must for my phones :D
-large screen

Cons
-Cramped Keypad
-UI is slow, typical of a symbian phone
-joystick can be annoying to some people
-image processing can take a while, and the camera has that famous blue haze

Overall impression: The phone is very compact and stylish, even the camera back is very nice placed.

Calling: The phone is a quadband so far its been performing very well in making calls, i cant test the video calling since i dont have a 3G network in my area. Buttons are cramped



Camera: camera is ok, enough for photoblogging, but not enough to replace your current digital camera, VHS recording is ok, image processing is a little slow. Camera UI is very easy though also slow at the same time

Battery Life: though i cant really tell as for now, though its on par with the k800 with approx 3-4 days normal use.

UI: UI is veryy slow, but the learning curve is the same, and not that hard to learn



Screen: sports a 2.4 inch screen very nice for viewing, its a 262k color qvga screen, and much bigger than a k790a



The Verdict: I highly recommend the N73 only if u have patience for the UI, but the phone does not dissapoint as a symbian phone, and takes pretty good pics for photos online, though not easy to learn, and you need a lot of patience for it, unless your a nokia dude, you can easily navigate through the UI, the phone is very compact and gets a lot out of your bucks, can be a little expensive, but a nice alternative to tehe k800

My New Creative Zen Vision M 30G

finally got my hands on the considered ipod killer, its a 30G hard drive video/mp3 player from Creative labs, sports a 2.5 262k color screen with 14 hrs continuous mp3 play and 4 hr video play, I got it brand new from ebay for $190. I say its a pretty good mp3 player, just loaded it with songs and videos and his been performing as a champ so far. Little bulky compared to the ipod video but not a hassle to carry around, def would recommend this creative zen vision M as a great alternative to the ipod. yes, i dont like the ipod for some reason, the vision M gets more bang for my buck, tv/out, FM radio, and a variety of video and audio formats compared to the ipod format, MSRP is around 250, but if u research hard you might get a bigger deal, heres the pics.

217 Reunion T_T

Thought id make a vid for the all my batchmates for 4rth high school. Its been a while, almost 4 years now since i havent seen u guys in person. Totally miss you guys, i wish i was there right now in the philippines to attend the reunion. But dont worry well see each other very soon. Its been good times, remembering all the crazy stuff we did when we were in high school, I wish we can go back to HS again, but life's goes on, but the memories are there to remain. Video Ringtones are not that common until now, and only a few cellphones actually offer it, mostly the sony ericssons, sharps, and other japanese manufacturers, today ill show you how a video ringtone works, shot the video using a sharp 903sh on a sony ericsson k790a, the video ringtone activates whenever theres a call, you can use any video thats in .3gp format on the k790a. This is a video about a civic and supra racing on the expressway, cool little vid which is only around 18 sec. Their cool to have esp when u have a candybar phone. So here's the video enjoy!

Bye Bye Sony Ericsson W810i

well, as for any cellphone, it has finally ended, my sony ericsson w810i is sold since im getting a new nikon for my blog, im gnna miss its 2MP cam with AF, and gnna miss the power of the 850mhz, i have a 2 G memory stick pro duo on it and a screen protector, basically its a near perfect phone for me :(, but since i want a camera now, hopefully the new owner will enjoy, ive enjoyed my w810i, and has been through a lot, but I cant wait for my new nikon :D. I have a big folder of pics in my computer of over 500 pics shot by a w810i, not that great quality but hey it does the job. Sold my w810i for over $230, so thats enough to get me a decent camera. Anyway, ill miss the w810i as one of the few walkman phones that are candybar quadbands, and probably the only quadband walkman autofocus, but its successor has already been launched building on the success of the w810i is the w610i. The w810i days of fame are over, but is no doubt one of the best phones that Sony Ericsson has ever produced and should be the grounds of success for many cellphones to come.
